WINDSOR CASTLE

In this unit, we have learnt many interesting things about castles. Now, we are going to focus on a very special one, Windsor Castle.
Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years. It is an official residence of Her Majesty The Queen, whose standard flies from the Round Tower when she is in residence.

SPELLING BEE

Es sabido que el inglés presenta importantes dificultades en su ortografía. Con las actividades y competiciones de "spelling" que haremos en clase pretendemos motivaros  para que mejoréis dicha ortografía y desarrolléis vuestro máximo potencial en este ámbito así como animaros a que perseveréis en el aprendizaje del idioma.
WHAT IS A SPELLING BEE?
A spelling bee is a competition in which contestants are asked to spell a broad selection of words, usually with a varying degree of difficulty. The concept is thought to have originated in the United States,[4] and spelling bee events, along with variants, are now also held in some other countries around the world

GRAMMAR
PAST SIMPLE
Recuerda que en el tema 3 estudiamos el pasado simple en forma afirmativa y vimos que había dos tipos de verbos:
1- verbos regulares: verbo + ed (teniendo en cuenta las reglas ortográficas que vimos en clase)
2-verbos irregulares: la lista que tenemos en el cuaderno y en las páginas 115-116 del libro.
En este tema vamos a ver las formas negativa e interrogativa, que siguen la siguiente estructura:
Negative form: DIDN'T + VERB
Interrogative form: DID + SUBJECT + VERB?
IMPORTANTE: En las formas negativas e interrogativas el verbo se queda siempre en forma base, no cambia, da igual que sea regular o irregular.
